The National Professional Music Teachers Association (NPMTA) was founded on November 22, 1971, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with ten members, for the purpose of:
- Promoting private music education at the
professional level
- Upholding a definite ethical standard of
professional conduct
- Encouraging the enjoyment and
appreciation of music
Today the association has become an integral
part of the arts community.
WHAT WE OFFER:
- Preparation of students for examinations at all
levels and all Canadian and British examining boards
- Preparation for music festivals
- Preparation for theory diplomas
OTHER OPPORTUNITIES:
- Regular recitals in seniors residences in the
Greater Vancouver area
- Workshops and conventions
- Student-teacher auxiliary
- Yearly recognition of students achievements
